Veteran Writer Manoj Das receives Mystic Kalinga Literary Award
Manoj Das, who was recently bestowed with Padma Bhushan for his outstanding contribution to English and Odia literature, received Mystic Kalinga Literary Award for the year 2020 in the category of Indian and Global Languages.
The Mystic Kalinga Literary Award will carry a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, khadi shawl and a certificate.
He will deliver the festival’s keynote address on “Divine Madness: Knowledge, Ecstasy and Transformation”.
He is currently teaching English Literature & Philosophy at Sri Aurobindo International University, Puducherry.
DoT approves merger of Bharti Airtel, Tata Teleservices
The department of telecommunications has approved the merger of the consumer mobile operations of the Tata group with Bharti Airtel, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd.
Under the deal signed in 2017, Airtel absorbed Tata’s mobile phone operations across the country in 19 circles.

The Uttarakhand Government has approved the design of a glass floor suspension bridge.
The bridge is as an alternative to the iconic Lakshman Jhula, almost 94 years old, which was closed in 2019 due to safety reasons.
