International Kite Festival launched in Ahmedabad
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated the 31st International Kite festival has been launched at Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad.
In this festival around 140 kite flying experts from 40 countries are participating in this event.
Ahmedabad is hosting this festival since 1989.This festival is also taking place at nine other places across the state including Statue of Unity-Kevadiya, Surat and Vadodara.

Vikram Sarabhai Children Innovation Center to be set up in Gujarat
The Gujarat government has announced to set up Vikram Sarabhai Children Innovation Center (VSCIC) in Gandhinagar.
Vikram Sarabhai Children Innovation Center (VSCIC) is to identify, nurture and promote innovation of children up to 18 years in the state.
The innovation centre will reportedly be set up at Gujarat University’s Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Extension Research and Innovation.
Royal Navy of Oman ships arrive in Goa for naval exercise ”Naseem-Al-Bahr”
Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) arrived in Goa to participate in the 12th edition of the Indo-Oman bilateral naval exercise ”Naseem-Al-Bahr”.
Indian Navy ships Beas and Subhadra and Oman Navy ships RNOV Al Rasikh and RNOV Khassab are participating in this exercise.

Amit Shah releases a book titled Karmayoddha Granth
The Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah released a book titled Karmayoddha Granth in New Delhi.
The book states that the politics of appeasement, casteism, and dynasty, the three curses of Indian Politics, were removed by the PM Modi after 2014.
Karmayoddha is a man who has a beating heart for people, a statesman, a hard taskmaster, an able administrator and an ideal leader who leads by example.

Weightlifter Sarbjeet Kaur banned for 4 years for doping
Indian weightlifter Sarbjeet Kaur has been banned from the sport for four years by the National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) after being found guilty of a doping violation.
Sarbjeet won the 71kg event at the 34th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championship 2019 held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

India ranks 84th in Henley Passport Index 2020
Indian passport has been ranked 84th in the list of world’s most powerful passports in a recent report released by Henley & Partners.
Japan continued to top the list of world’s most powerful passports as it got the first rank.
Afghanistan passport got the last position and came out as the world’s worst passport.
