Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju Launched the 3rd edition of Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati

  • The third edition of the Khelo India Youth Games will take place in Guwahati from January 10-22,2020

  • Cycling and Lawn Bowls are the two new games that have been added to the list of competing sport events this year.

Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated a two-day Conference on Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat and Disaster Management in Jammu.

  • The Union Minister of State (PP), Dr Jitendra Singh said that all Central laws applicable to other parts of the country will now be applicable to the newly created UTs of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Ladakh. He said that there are about 854 such laws which are citizen-friendly and will benefit the common man of J&K and Ladakh, who were previously deprived of it.

  • Saudi Arabia became the first Arab nation to take over the G20 presidency. The Saudi G20 presidency is committed to continuing the work from Osaka and promoting multilateral consensus.

  • United Nations observes International Day for the Abolition of Slavery on 2nd December every year to highlight the importance of eradicating contemporary forms of slavery including trafficking in persons, sexual exploitation, child labour, forced marriage.
